• Slew rate controls output speed

• Two slew rates

  • Default slow slew rate reduces noise
  • Use fast slew rate wherever speed is important
  • Fast Slew rates are approximately twice as slow slew rates

• Slew rate specification

  • Instantiation: in the user constraint file:

  • Synthesis: vendor dependent
